Bill West wrote the book Your Garagenous Zone- the Complete Garage Organizer Guide in 1999.  His most recent book, Your Garagenous Zone: Innovative Ideas for the Garage was published in 2004, and his books were the pioneer books in this new category of garage remodeling and organizing.

Since then he has written numerous articles about the Great American Garage and has been featured in major newspapers including the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal and magazines such as This Old House, Business Week, Men's Health, CLOSETS, and Kiplinger's for his ideas about transforming the garage into functional space. He has appeared on CNBC and MSNBC and other television shows and has been a guest on nationally syndicated radio programs dedicated to home improvement.  He was a behind-the-scenes consultant for the Martha Stewart Show for a garage makeover for a three-part series called Garage Gone Wild.

West was the technical editor for the book Organize Your Garage in no Time written by Barry Izsak.

He consults with new homebuilders to establish a �show garage� in association with model homes. He advises homeowners about how to achieve and create a functional garage. Bill also consults with garage remodeling and organizing companies.

He is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and a charter member of the Colorado chapter for NAPO.

Bill is a partner and broker associate with The Group, Inc. Real Estate in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has been selling real estate in Northern Colorado since 1977. He earned the Certified Residential Specialist designation in 1981 from the Realtors National Marketing Institute. Less than 4% of the nation�s Realtors have achieved this designation. He has served on the Colorado Association of Realtors Executive Committee, and was recognized as the Realtor of the Year in 1984 by the Fort Collins Board of Realtors. He served as that organization�s president the same year.

He has authored several articles about real estate finance, hazard insurance, and structuring an organization for newcomers in the real estate field that have appeared in national real estate publications.

Bill lives with his wife, Beverly Donnelley M. D., and their son, Taylor, in Fort Collins where he maintains an active real estate practice.
